TEAM Turns Up the Heat for Esso
The Esso plant required a dedicated heat exchanger design. TEAM designed, manufactured and installed the specification within the tight turnaround schedule.
The Esso process and refining plant based at Ingolstadt in Germany, required a dedicated heat exchanger designed in a U-shaped configuration for their planned shutdown/start up. The problem was that their existing heat exchanger failed and needed replacing. To keep the planned shutdown on schedule they needed the new exchanger in double quick time – just six weeks, when the normal production lead-time is closer to three to four months.
TEAM designed and manufactured the specification and confirmed the cost in just 24 hours. Six weeks on, the new heat exchanger arrived at the plant and was installed, allowing the shutdown to continue on schedule.
