Unique solution for job “down under”
A customer needed to connect to a domed or bullet-shaped pipe end that raised some issues from the normal side on the pipeline hot tap. TEAM created a unique solution for the hot tap fitting so both internal and external welds could be applied. TEAM provided a complete turnkey solution, manufacturing of the unique hot tap fitting, welding and the cement lining of the fitting.
Need and Challenge:
A customer needed to connect to a domed or bullet-shaped pipe end that raised some issues from the normal side on the pipeline hot tap.
Solution and Outcome:
TEAM created a unique solution for the Hot Tap fitting that consisted of a series of bands so both internal and external welds could be applied. A HT reducer was then able to be connected to the dome end and a valve bolted in place to meet the Sydney water pipe weld standards.
TEAM provided a complete turnkey solution, manufacturing of the unique hot tap fitting, welding and the cement lining of the fitting.
